How It Works
The design of FMONE kinetic tables. In-house manufacturing, custom materials available.
01

Horizontal Surface

One of the key components of a kinetic table is its horizontal surface. A steel ball, controlled by a magnetic field, moves across the flat sandy surface, creating predetermined patterns.

02

Mechanism

Beneath the horizontal surface lies the kinetic table mechanism, controlled by an embedded microcontroller that moves the magnet along specified vectors.

03

Tempered Glass

The horizontal surface with sand, across which the ball travels, is covered from above with tempered glass for protection and ease of use.

04

Mobile Control

The table operates automatically. Using the mobile app, you can change the sequence of patterns in the playlist and add new ones.

05

500+ Visual Forms

Over 500 unique visual forms and patterns. Programs: Lyric, Sisyphus, Luna, Astra, and many more. Abstractions, logos, greetings, and portraits.

The FMONE Concept

About Kineticism

Kinetic art produces an emotional impact through flickering, vibrations, and warmth, always interacting with the surrounding space. This art form comes alive in contact with the viewer's perception and imagination. Each object, in turn, responds to the world around it, acquiring qualities of real or optical movement.

The essence of a kinetic object lies in movement, mechanical or illusory, which is its vital force. In this movement, which becomes the basis for forming perception, the object finds its unique rhythm and energy.

About the Idea

My immersion into the world of kinetic art began in 2003 thanks to my friend Ivan, who introduced me to a unique installation by Bruce Shapiro at the Swiss museum Technorama.

Bruce Shapiro is a kinetic artist known for his innovative works that combine movement, light, and sound, creating stunning visual and musical ensembles.

Bruce initiated an innovative concept, bringing to life the idea of a kinetic work of art in a utilitarian form, transforming an ordinary table into an art object that is not only designed to beautify everyday life but also to become the centerpiece of a modern interior.

From the Author

My name is Alexander Dmitriev, and I am the creator of the FMone project.

"An 8-year project" — that is perhaps the most accurate way to describe this remarkable journey of creative exploration and self-discovery. Over these years, the project went through numerous transformations, being refined and finding its true form.

Every stage along the way was important; every failure and every discovery contributed to shaping the final result.

Starting as an aspiration to unite art and functionality, the project gradually crystallized and took clear shape. Years of experimentation, reflection, and occasional disappointment were not in vain — they allowed me to deeply understand the essence of my vision, to cut away the unnecessary and focus on what truly matters.

About the Project

The kinetic table represents a new direction in design, where practicality and aesthetics coexist in a remarkable symbiosis. The FMone table is a kinetic art object that embodies movement, the fluidity of form and function.

FMone creates unique and mesmerizing visual effects on sand, adding elements of comfort, relaxation, and wonder to any space. Geometric patterns, slowly transitioning from one to another, help slow down the stream of thought, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and contemplation.

The kinetic table brings something special to every room, transforming ordinary spaces into places of inspiration and aesthetic delight.

About the UFO Line

In search of a unique interior solution that combines art and functionality, I embarked on a unique journey into the world of objects. My goal was to find a form that would perfectly complement the content, creating a harmonious symbiosis of aesthetics and practicality.

My son, a passionate comic book fan, once showed me an issue of "UFO Mysteries" from 1976. At that moment, it struck me — this was the form I had been looking for! Laconic yet brilliant in its recognizability, the flying saucer shape became the key to solving my creative challenge.

This moment of inspiration laid the foundation for the UFO line — a collection that embodies the perfect balance between futuristic aesthetics and functionality.

About the UMO Line

The UMO line emerged as a reimagining of our first table, Luna, created in 2017. Through the further development of the design concept, UMO incorporated the best features of Luna while adding new and innovative elements.

In this collection, Scandinavian style with its characteristic clean and simple lines harmoniously blends with futuristic elements. This synthesis creates unique furniture pieces that look modern and stylish, perfectly suited for both residential and office spaces.

The simplicity of UMO's forms is complemented by expressive details and original natural textures, giving each piece a unique character.
